The Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (SBRC)<\/strong> is an annual event organized by Brazilian Computer Society (SBC)<\/a> and Laboratory of Computer Networks (LARC)<\/a>. Over more than four decades, SBRC has established itself as the most important national scientific event in the fields of computer networks and distributed systems, achieving international recognition with the participation of researchers, professionals, and scientists from Latin America and around the world. The significance of SBRC is reflected in the number of paper submissions and participants across its various editions. Its main track receives an average of 300 submissions annually, with an acceptance rate of approximately 30% to 35% for publication and oral presentation at the symposium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Other characteristics, such as the diversity and breadth of activities carried out, the relevance of the topics addressed, and the professionalism of its organization, have contributed to the consolidation of SBRC in the national scientific events calendar. In addition, the event will play a strategic role and meet the strong demand from the community for events of this nature and scale, particularly focusing on the thematic areas of technological development and innovative outreach defined by the MCTIC in Ordinance No. 1,122\/2020 (as amended by MCTIC Ordinance No. 1,329\/2020), such as Digital Technologies and Industrial and Service Production Technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The 44th edition of the Symposium will be held from May 25 to 29, 2026, in an IN-PERSON format. The event is coordinated by the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA)<\/a> in collaboration with the Federal Institute of Bahia (IFBA)<\/a>.
