The Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (SBRC) is an event that is held annually by the Computer Networks and Distributed Systems Special Committee (CE-RESD) of the  Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) and the  Computer Networks Laboratory (LARC). Over the course of more than four decades, SBRC has established itself as the most important national scientific event in the fields of computer networks and distributed systems, reaching a broad international audience with the attendance of researchers and professionals from Latin America and other parts of the world.

The relevance of the SBRC can be observed through the number of paper submissions and attendees in its various editions. The Main Track of the Symposium has been annually receiving an average of 300 submissions, of which between 30% and 35% are accepted for publication and oral presentation. In addition to the presentation of such papers, SBRC's program typically includes lectures given by Brazilian and foreign researchers, mini-courses, discussion panels, tool demonstrations and  workshops.

In 2025, the 43rd edition of SBRC will take place physically from May 19th to May 23rd, 2025 in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. A organização do SBRC 2025 está sob responsabilidade da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) juntamente com o Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN).
